St. Augustine Lighthouse
Originally the St. Augustine Lighthouse was a Spanish watch tower, built in the 1500’s. The lighthouse is the site of the oldest aid to sea navigation in North America. It stands 165 feet above sea level and has 219 steps. The original watch tower structure was deemed Florida’s first light house in 1824. Touring the St. Augustine Lighthouse while visiting the area is highly recommended and convenient to our Marriott hotel locations. Tours are offered daily from 9 am to 6 pm, with some extended summertime hours.
