Villa Zorayda

Named for the Court of Lions in the Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain, the newly renovated historic Villa Zorayda is now open to the public.  It was built in 1883 by Boston millionaire, Franklin W. Smith and was used as his winter getaway in St. Augustine.  The interior of the villa includes unique items like a 2,300 year-old rug made from woven cat fur, as well as beautiful Moorish Horseshoe arches.  Villa Zorayda is also now available for exclusive and unforgettable wedding ceremonies.  Be certain to visit this remarkable historic landmark during your stay in St. Augustine!
